Youtility and Wagestream partner to make embedded subscription management accessible from Wagestream’s financial wellbeing platform.
Integrating Youtility’s platform allows Wagestream customers to compare and save on household subscriptions helping to save hundreds of pounds each year. By reducing spending on monthly bills, this will help users build financial resilience and eliminate the need to rely on expensive overdrafts or payday loans.
Wagestream is a global leader in financial wellbeing solutions for employers. Through the Wagestream app, employees can instantly access a percentage of their wages as they are earned. It also offers access to various financial education tools, powered by the Money Advice Service. It is used by more than 300 companies and almost 1 million employees with clients including some of the UK’s largest businesses such as Greene King, the NHS, Bupa, Holland and Barratt, Leon and BrewDog.
Both Youtility and Wagestream are backed by the Fair By Design Fund, a social impact fund managed by Ascension Ventures. The fund backs technology start-ups focused on tackling the poverty premium – the extra costs low income homes are often forced to pay for essential goods and services.
Other backers of the fund include Barrow Cadbury Trust, Big Society Capital, Comic Relief, Joseph Rowntree Foundation, Nationwide Building Society, National Lottery Community Fund and the Tudor Trust.
