Fintech app Pockit chooses Youtility to help users navigate cost of living crisis

Fintech app Pockit chooses Youtility to help users navigate cost of living crisis.

Integrating Youtility’s platform allows Pockit customers to compare and save on household subscriptions helping to save hundreds of pounds each year. The ongoing cost of living crisis is projected to worsen throughout 2022, particularly in October when energy bills are expected to rise by 40% to c. £3,300, plunging 30% of UK homes into fuel poverty. Helping Pockit customers to reduce their spending will help users build financial resilience and potentially avoid the need to rely on expensive overdrafts or payday loans.

Pockit is a fintech platform offering digital accounts and prepaid cards for customers via the Pockit app. A Pockit account is designed to act as an alternative to a high-street bank account aiming to increase financial inclusion for individuals who struggle to access regular high-street banking products. The mobile-first fintech aims to make “money simple” for customers with specifically tailored services, such as helping customers better manage their money or enabling them to send money internationally through its remittance functionality, which is powered by Wise.

Built for banks and fintechs, Youtility’s embedded web and API-based subscription management integrations help consumers control, manage and save on their home finances, directly from within existing money management tools. Youtility’s mission is to make subscription management simple, accessible and informative, empowering consumers to save money, stay in control and make informed, long term financial decisions.

Will Kostoris, Co-founder of Youtility: “At a time when households are experiencing extreme financial hardship, helping people to reduce their household spending by hundreds of pounds is a crucial money saving action that can make a meaningful difference. We’ve built Youtility to relieve the stress and hassle of subscription management and we’re thrilled to be working with Pockit.”

Virraj Jatania, Founder of Pockit: “Working with Youtility will allow our customers to make significant savings at a time when people need it most. Youtility’s technology supports Pockit’s mission to help bring financial security and stability to the lives of millions of people.”
